About the Event
Hey Napa Tennis Enthusiasts! We will be holding a Round Robin ($25 cash/check per player) and the annual elections for seats on the Board. There are 4 seats up for election including two officer positions, the Treasurer, and President of the Board that need to be filled. Please put your hat in the ring! We need enthusiastic volunteers that are interested in giving a bit of their time and dedication to making NVTA a great place to play.
The Round Robin will be played during the time of the elections...come vote and play! We are asking for donations for the Round Robin. The minimum donation is $25 cash/check per player and all proceeds go towards the resurfacing of the courts. If you choose to donate more, we will gladly accept! Please bring cash or check with you the day of the event. You do not have to participate in the Round Robin to vote. There are 32 spots available for the Round Robin. If you are not playing in the Round Robin, you do not need to register for the event, you can just show up to vote. Voting will be held from 11:30am-3pm on Sunday, March 13th.
There will be an annual Board meeting taking place at 11:30am that morning at the courtyard, and it is open to the public, as always, so we invite you to come and listen. We encourage all members to vote in the elections, as this is your club! If you know someone that is interested, or you think would be a good fit to nominate, please contact Doug Fraggi at firstname.lastname@example.org. It is really fun being a part of an organization that you can add value to! Step up and become a contributing member of the tennis community!
Please submit your nominations to run for the Board by March 12th. Voting will take place on March 13th. Some of the things that will be expected of you as a Board Member are: attending monthly board meetings, becoming a part of sub-committees to make decisions on improvements to the courts and grounds, organizing and planning events and tournaments, lending physical hands to small improvements that need to be made like flower beds, and clubhouse maintenance. Anyone with a background in accounting, web design, administration and marketing is highly recommended!
